Updating Village Infrastructure Data (Updating PODES) 2020 in Magelang Regency

The 2020 Potential Data (PODES) is increasingly needed in development planning and evaluation. Besides being used to measure the Village Development Index as a basis for classifying villages into independent villages, developing villages and underdeveloped villages, the PODES data is also useful to see the impact of channeling village funds on economic growth and improving the quality of life of the community. Another benefit of the PODES data is for the calculation of the Geographical Difficulties Index (IKG) used by the Ministry of Finance as one of the basic allocations for the Village Fund.

PODES data collection is carried out 3 times in 10 years and is carried out 2 years before the implementation of the Census, both Population Census, Agriculture Census, and Economic Census. However, because it is felt that village development data are now more dynamic with village funds, PODES data will change more quickly. For this reason, starting in 2019 there is an Update on Village Development Data (Updating PODES) every year. This activity does not carry out complete data collection such as the PODES Data Collection questionnaire, only part of the PODES data that must be updated while keeping in view the previous year's data reference This year 2020 is the second time for Updating PODES. This activity was carried out from 15 June - 17 July 2020 with the respondent being the village head or other village official who knew. Data from other agencies or agencies may also be used with the approval of the local village head.

The officers of the Updating PODES activity are BPS employees consisting of the District Statistics Coordinator (KSK) and Regency BPS Staff plus officers from the BPS-Statistics of Magelang Regency.
