MAGELANG – In commemoration of International Coffee Day, observed annually on October 1, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Magelang Regency presents an overview of coffee production in Magelang Regency. The commemoration serves as a momentum to learn more about the potential of coffee as one of the agricultural commodities developed in Magelang Regency.
Based on data from Magelang Regency in Figures, coffee production in Magelang Regency reached 2.184 in 2025, consisting of 0.148 of Arabica coffee and 2.036 of Robusta coffee. Compared to 2024, Arabica coffee production increased by approximately 151 percent, while Robusta coffee production increased by approximately 1.5 percent.
Grabag District was the main center of Robusta coffee production, with production reaching 1.743 in 2025, accounting for approximately 86 percent of the total Robusta coffee production in Magelang Regency. Meanwhile, Arabica coffee production was distributed across several districts, with the highest production recorded in Kajoran District at 0.046, followed by Windusari District at 0.033 and Kaliangkrik District at 0.021.
