Level of Population Expenditure Inequality in March 2024 in Magelang Regency

Abstract

In March 2024, the level of inequality in expenditure of residents of Magelang Regency as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.333. This figure decreased by 0.025 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.358.
The Gini Ratio in Magelang Regency in the last four years has shown a downward trend from 0.384 in 2021 to 0.333 in 2024.
This indicates that the inequality of income or expenditure of the population is decreasing.
n Based on the World Bank's inequality measure, the distribution of expenditure in the bottom 40 percent group was recorded at 20.21 percent. This provides an illustration that the expenditure of residents of Magelang Regency in March 2024 is in the low inequality category.
