Magelang Regency Revenue and Expenditure Realization Declines in 2025

The realization of revenue and expenditure of the Regional Government of Magelang Regency in 2025 indicates a decline compared to the previous year. Based on the released data, the total realization of regional revenue in 2025 was recorded at 2,773.83 billion rupiah, experiencing a slight decrease from the figure of 2,780.53 billion rupiah in 2024. A similar trend is also observed in the realization of regional expenditure, which reached 2,680.59 billion rupiah, down from the 2024 realization of 2,870.64 billion rupiah. Despite the decline, the revenue realization in 2025 remained higher than its expenditure realization, indicating efficiency in regional financial management.

Furthermore, when viewed from its compositional structure, the regional revenue of Magelang Regency is still heavily supported by funds from the central government. This is evident from the composition of Transfer Revenue, which dominates the regional revenue portion with a contribution reaching 73.9%. Meanwhile, Regional Revenue (PAD) accounts for 25.7% of the total revenue, and Other Legitimate Revenue provides the smallest contribution at 0.4%. The still-high dependence on transfer funds serves as an important note for the regional government to continue stimulating the potential of regional original revenue to enhance the fiscal independence of Magelang Regency in the future.
