Open Unemployment Rate in Magelang Regency Decreases in 2025!

Based on employment data from the August National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), employment conditions in Magelang Regency in 2025 exhibit a positive trend. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was recorded as experiencing a decrease to 3.52% in 2025. This figure decreased by 0.03 percent when compared to the condition in 2024, which stood at 3.55%. This decline in the unemployment rate is a good signal indicating an improvement in labor absorption and an increase in job opportunities for the people in Magelang Regency.

Along with the decline in the unemployment rate, the Economically Active Participation Rate (TPAK) in Magelang Regency also shows encouraging dynamics. The participation rate in 2025 was recorded as increasing to 78.12%, up from 77.72% recorded in 2024. This increase in participation rate reflects a high level of active participation or involvement of the working-age population (15 years and older) in economic activities, both those who are already working and those who are actively seeking employment. It is hoped that these positive employment indicators will continue to support the sustainable improvement of public welfare.
